About Me

I am a wearer of many hats:

Daughter
I was born and raised in Oklahoma until I was 15, and then we moved to Texas. My parents are no longer together, but I learned a lot about life, love and marriage from them while I was a child--do's and don'ts, but lessons nonetheless.

Sister
I am the oldest of three, with a younger brother and a younger sister. I didn't realize it when we were kids, but they are my best friends. Even though we don't see each other as much as I'd like now that we are adults, I can call them anytime about anything. And we can always pick right up where we left off when we do finally get together. They are amazing people and have wonderful families and I'm so happy to have them in my life.

Wife
I am married to my absolute best friend, to my absolute other half, to my absolute most perfect match. We're going on almost ten years now, and I think we have a story that puts Disney and the other Fairy Tales to shame. I love him more and more each day, each week, each month, each year... My life would be incomplete without him.

Mother
At the moment, the second leading man in my life is about to go to Kindergarten. He is the spitting image of his father, and shares both of our senses of humor and our stubbornness and fiery independence. He wants to be a Police Officer Superhero who's in a Rock Band when he grows up... and maybe even drive a fire truck, too. I can't believe that he's growing up so fast, but I love the journey and I love the person he's becoming. Every day with him is an adventure.

Teacher
I was a preschool teacher for ten years. It was the best summer job I could think of right out of high school: no weekends, get off every day by 6:30, and I get to color and play all day! Score, right?! Who knew that I would fall in love with it and it would become my career for the next ten years.
But, ever since I was in the 6th grade, I've known (on some level) that I wanted to be an elementary school teacher. So, I went back to school, graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, and now I'm on the hunt for a classroom to call my own.
So, for the time being, I sub my little rump off and try to put my name out there as much as I can. I can't wait until the day that I can begin to post pictures of my very own classroom!!
